hi there everyone i have a imac g4 i can not install 10.4 on it the cd will not boot at all when i 1st got it. it had tiger on it and then i wanted mac os 9 on it and then i downloaded a copy of it and it was working and now i can not install tiger or mac os 9 on it at all i do not know why i have a old g3 and it installed mac os 9 and works just fine but my g4 will not can someone help me thank you

I'm assuming because of your signature you currently also have some version of Mac OS X 10.2 installed. If you do, then you need to install 10.4 using either archive and install, or erase and install. Both are described here:

You can only use the iMac labelled original installer discs to install Mac OS 9, if it wasn't installed before, and only of that iMac model and age. The 10.4 installer can't say OEM, Update, or a Mac model name on it. It must look like:
imac g4 will not install tiger or mac os 9
